RICCARDO GILENO

BIOGRAPHYRiccardo Gileno was born in Trieste, Italy, and began his career in the year of 2010. Influenced by names like The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, David Bowie, Fiona Apple and The Tallest Man On Earth, he ventured as a joke into an unknown world which had always fascinated him. Then he took up the initiative of Groove O'Matic, a Funk band of which he would be lead singer for some years.
When they disbanded, Riccardo knew he could not stop. The addiction to music was too big to simply end there. That's when he bet everything on his solo career, starting to write his own songs. Simultaneously, he became the bassist of Free Strangers' Society, and created Family Affair, a project in which he performs songs of singers and bands from his native Italy, with the help of his brother Lorenzo. So we arrive in 2016 and ... two more projects that Gileno would be part of. First, The Topix, an R&B project where he participated in the album "Madness of Time". Then the Alt-Rock band Stop The Wheel, where he integrated the live performances of the album "Basta". The summer of 2017 brought with it the resurgence of his solo career. He finds himself again with his own compositions and, together with producer Matteo Brenci, records his first EP, entitled "The Curse", released in November 2017. And it was precisely with a theme taken from this EP, "Days", that Riccardo Gileno introduced himself to the english public. Now he returns with a new instant success: "Friend / Enemy". Music For All features one of the biggest names in the current Italian music scene. PRESS RELEASE![]()
