Max Costa was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, but moved to Porto Alegre soon after his birth where he lived to adulthood. He learned to play the guitar when he passed the entrance exam for the Chemical Engineering College, a course in which he participated in several rock and blues bands.
In the early 00's he released two independent records with the Dive-POA Band. He composes in English because he considers this to be the language of the Blues. It has as characteristic an aggressive and torn voice, which makes its blues even more touching.
With more than 20 years of career he has performed in the service of several bands, always as a vocalist, such as Get Up (in the 90's), Dive-POA (authorial music in the 00's, with which he released two works) and with the Free Riders Blues Band in Serra Gaucha. He moved to Florianópolis two years ago, where he is currently working on his solo career, whose latest contribution is the single "Muddy Water", a single in advance of a new album.
